GLOBAL TURBINE ASIA extends contract with RMAF for Makila 2A1 engine maintenance

Over-achievement in the past three years, with 100% component availability

Langkawi, Mar 23, 2017 –  Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd (GTA), a Malaysian born joint venture with Safran Group, providing engine maintenance works for helicopters and aircrafts, has successfully extended its Global Support Package (GSP) contract for an additional three years until January 2020, with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for 30 of their MAKILA 2A1 engines.

Dato’ Nonee Ashirin Dato’ Mohd Radzi, GTA Chairman & CEO was officially presented the good news of contract extension during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2017. 

GTA has exceeded the contractual KPI of 85% availability of engine components, delivering a perfect 100% over the last three years. 

Dato’ Nonee explained, “We have a Field Support Representative (FSR) on site and a dedicated team in GTA to support RMAF at all times. We also provide on job training to RMAF staff to ensure safety, maintenance and handling of the aircrafts are strictly followed. Furthermore, we also conduct quarterly meetings with the operations team to ensure all issues are properly addressed”.

The GSP is a comprehensive and complete maintenance management of military and parapublic fleets to ensure aircrafts are ready for take-off at all times.
